Joan L. Pierce, 91, of Manteca, passed away peacefully at the family home on Monday, December 8, 2014.  She was born on March 21, 1923 in Chicago, IL and lived in Manteca for 53 years. 
  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Pierce.
   She is survived  by three children, Robert, Jeanmarie, and Patricia and sons-in-law  Larry and Michael. 
   She is also survived by her three grandchildren Sarah, Micol, Joel and his wife Renee and their children Charles and Troy.
   Services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of San Joaquin County.
