Joann made her career in protective services for Lawrence Livermore Labs for over 20 years. She was hired as one of the first female security guards in 1974. She retired in 1998. While working at the Lab she attended the University of Pacific where she earned a bachelor’s degree in 1992. She was a dedicated member of Crossroads Grace Community church, where she especially loved taking part in the Women of Grace bible study. Among all of Joann’s attributes, her family was most important, she loved spending time with her grandchildren as they loved making memories at the water park in Mountain House, Dell’Osso Family Farms, or just simply going outside to play; enjoying the outdoors.
