John Huffington, 84, passed away on January 22, 2015 at Doctor’s Hospital in Modesto.  He was born on April 12, 1930 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. He lived in Manteca for 30 years.
   John was retired and had attended junior college in Glendale. John was in the US Air Force and attended St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
   He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Evelyn.  He is survived by his longtime companion Esther Jundt; children, John, Nancy and Pam; sisters, Sharon, Fran, Ann and Linda. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
   A service will be held on January 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, North and Powers Streets. Visitation will be held at the Park View Funeral Home on January 28, from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
