John Joseph Cambra, 59, entered into rest on May 19, 2010 in Manteca, California. He was born on June 20, 1950 in Escalon, California to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Frances Cambra.

Mr. Cambra is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Karen Cambra. He has two daughters; Kimberly Cambra Berghorst and husband Brian of Ripon and Aimee Cambra and companion Claire Andry of Manteca. He was blessed by 5 grandchildren; Breanna Cambra, Olivia Berghorst, Gavin John Berghorst, all of Ripon and Quinn Husband and Chloe Husband both of Manteca. In addition John has three surviving siblings; Chuck Cambra, Joe Cambra and Pegi Barker all of Manteca.

John was a highly respected self employed businessman owning and operating Seda Farms, Street Rod Center, Tuff Boy Trailer, Cen-Cal Services, and C & H Leasing. Before owning and operating his own businesses John worked from a very young boy to his early 20’s for his father at Charlie Cambra & Son’s hauling hay. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, MRPS, NRA (California and National) and the Stockton Sports Club. John was a man of his word always respecting his friends, family and business colleagues. John was described by his family as “a man that could do everything.” He loved welding, woodworking, and restoring old cars. John had a gift for drawing and had a talent for playing the guitar. He enjoyed the outdoors especially when it involved water skiing and racing his boats. He loved a day in the sky flying his airplane enjoying the benefits of having his own pilot license. John was a generous humble man always giving to others and never expecting anything in return. His sense of humor was unforgettable as he was always a pleasure to be around at any and every social event. His loyalty to his family was selfless; they always came before everything. He was a faithful friend always following through with all that he promised. He was a true gentleman with patients that was envied. John will be remembered as a wonderful son, a faithful loving husband, and an amazing father grandfather and brother. He will be deeply missed.

 Mr. Cambra’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday May 23, 2010 from 3 to 7 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. also held at P.L. Fry. A Mass will be held on Monday May 24, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 505 E. North St. Manteca, Ca. He will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery 17871 S. Carrolton Rd. Escalon.
