John Joseph Fortuny Jr., of  Manteca, CA, passed away on July 13, 2011 at Doctor’s Hospital of Manteca at the age of 82. He was born in Los Angeles, CA, on December 19, 1928 and was a resident of  Manteca for the past 40 years. John was a part of the Navy, Coast Guard, and Reserve Army, and worked as a mechanic at Fortuny Tractor & Auto Repair, a family owned business.
 
  John is survived by his companion, Dolores; his children, Mike, Tina, John, Tony, Ed, Juan, Carmen, Billy, and Bedina; his brother Charles Jensen; his sisters Dolores Belt, Jeanette Jensen and Lillian Wunsch, as well as 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

    A memorial service for John will take place on Saturday July 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Park View Memorial Chapel, 3661 E. French Camp Road in Manteca. Contributions to John’s memory can be made to the American Legion, Karl Ross Post #16, 2020 Plymouth Road, Stockton, CA 95204. Arrangements are being handled by Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road in Manteca.
