John Louis Brazil, 86, entered into rest on May 24, 2019 in Manteca, Ca. He was born on April 25, 1933  to the late Sebastian and Amelia Brazil. He is preceded in death by his parents, his former wives; Marie Byrd and Kathy Brazil, son Larry Brazil and his two sisters Almarina Rocha and Evelyn Souza. 

Mr. Brazil is survived by his two former wives; first wife Yvonne Gray Ross and Trudie Brazil, children; Lisa Brazil, Tommy Brazil, stepchildren Ronnie Mills and Pamela Ikerd and two granddaughters; Michele Brazil Ballard and Brittany Brazil and one great-grandson Jax Ballard. In addition John is survived by his four sisters; Ida M. Teicheira, Connie Liberato, Velma Scherman, and Arlene Wheat.

John was a well known and respected race car driver for various racing teams winning many top awards. Aside from racing John and his son owned and operated Brazil’s Lounge and Brazil’s Plastering where he was a member of the Plasters Union. John had a passion for beautiful woman, racing and sweet treats. He loved animals; especially his dogs and pigs, enjoyed family time and took pride in visiting with the children after each car race signing autographs and answering questions. John will be remembered as a simple, shy man who had an unforgettable grin to his smile. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.   

P.L. Fry and Son is honored to be serving the Brazil family. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 2 PM to 5 PM followed by a rosary\vigil at 5 PM held at P. L. Fry and Son Chapel 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. A mass will be  on Monday, June 3, 2019 at 11 AM held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church 525 E. North St., Manteca. He will be laid to rest at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery 17871 S.
