John Paul Linhart, Sr., passed February  2, 2009 in Manteca, at the age of 82 years. He was born April  13, 1926 to the late William James Linhart and Lulu Cleo Sarver in Pennsylvania.

John served in the US Navy and was a veteran of WWII. He worked most  of his life as an appraiser and auctioneer. He also was a past member of the Manteca Senior Center Board, volunteered for “Meals on Wheels”, Mason since 1968 and a tour guide for Manteca Senior Center.

In his spare time John enjoyed going to the flea markets and garage  sales, going on trips with the Senior Center. His children and grandchildren  meant the world to him. He was a constant companion to his wife for  over 60 years.

John was the loving husband to Mintie Jane Linhart; devoted  father to John Paul Linhart, Jr. and Barbara Jane Grizzle (Johnny); cherished grandfather to Matthew Paul Grizzle (Melissa), Kristina Lynne Thompson, Roy William Grizzle, Laura Kathleen Maggard (Richard).; and adored  great grandfather to Alyssa Thompson, Alexandra Grizzle and Andrew Thompson.

Per his request no service will be held. Neptune Society of Northern  California Stockton Branch in charge of arrangements.
