John Pacheco Azevedo, 76, entered into rest on August 3, 2020 in Manteca, CA. He was born in San Jorge, Azores on March 8, 1944. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 51 years Lucy Azevedo; daughters, Debbie Martin (Scott) and Linda Brito (Paulo); two grandchildren, Justin and Grace Brito and two brothers, Joe Azevedo and John Manuel Azevedo.
A native of the Bay area John made is home in Manteca 31 years ago. When moving to Manteca, John acquired the 133 Club where me made many life-long friendships.  He retired in 2017 after 28 years in business. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and several Portuguese clubs in the Bay area. John loved country living where he felt at peace tending to his many goats, chickens, and his beloved dogs.  John was happiest when friends and family gathered at his home where he always made sure there was an abundance of food and drink.
John will be remembered as a loving husband, beloved father/grandfather, a loyal friend and a generous giving man. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
P.L. Fry is honored to be serving the Azevedo family. Due to COVID-19 all services are being kept private. To send condolences to the family, please visit his online tribute page at www.plfryandson.com
