 John Payan, 72, entered into rest on June 24, 2015 in Ripon. He was born on October 12, 1942 to the late Toribio and Angela Payan. John is preceded in death by his parents as well as his beloved daughter Shell, his first wife Lucille Payan and his two sisters Mercedes Guzman and Barbara Reyes.
   John is survived by his wife Eva and his five children Debra Biggs (Tom) John Jr. (Annette), Toby (Tiffani) Nicole and Randy Payan as well as his five step daughters; Teresa (Lendrick) Robbinson, Tracy (Dale) Schneewind, Tonya O’Dell, Tiffany (Ron) Perkins and Tami Gentry. In addition he has five siblings; Bobby, Frank, Richard, and Eddie Payan and Tommie Gomes.  He was blessed by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, god children and extended family members who love him dearly.
   John retired from LOF/Pilkington after 43 years of service. He was a resident of both Manteca and Ripon and graduated from Manteca High in 1960. He enjoyed gardening as his favorite plants were is Orchids and Bonsai trees. He was a generous man with a loving spirit always loving his family unconditionally. He will be remembered for his tremendous heart, his hard working character, and his devotion to his family. He will be missed.
   P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Payan family. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a rosary/vigil service at 7:00 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca.
   A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. also held at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel. An online guest book is available for condolences to the family at www.plfryandson.com (Search obituaries).
