Jose E. Duarte, 47, of Tracy passed away due to natural causes on June 16, 2011 at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. He was born on June 28, 1963 in Salao, Fial, Azores and has called Tracy his home for the past 26 years.

Jose was a laborer for Owens-Illinois glass manu-facturing for 10 years. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and a member of SPFA. Jose enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, his wife, his daughter, and his family.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years Maria Nelia Duarte of Tracy; his daugh-ter Jolene Maldonado and her husband Luis of Tracy; his grandchildren: Aleena Duarte and Joel Maldonado both of Tracy; and his sister Ana Maria Duarte of Salao, Fial.

Preceding him in death are his parents Antonio and Ana Duarte.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 6pm until 7pm fol-lowed by a vigil service at 7pm both held at Fry

Memorial Chapel 550 S. Central Ave., Tracy. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 10am at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church 163 W. Eaton Ave., Tracy. His final resting place will be at Tracy Public
