Josephine Diaz Ochoa, 91, entered peacefully into rest on January 18, 2020 in Ripon. She was born July 1, 1928 in San Jose, CA to the late Jose and Pascula Diaz. In Heaven, Josephine joins her adored husband Serafin Ochoa.
   Josephine leaves behind her loving children-sons, Chico, Serafin Jr., Richard (Cathy), Arthur (Sue Lynn), Michael (Patricia); daughters Mary L. Cantu (Ben), Angie Gonzalez (Victor), Susie Martinez (Joe) and Rosie Salon Ochoa. She was blessed with 31 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and four great- great-grandchildren and two great-great-great- grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by four siblings, Al Diaz, Rosie Mendoza, Bill Diaz and Felix Diaz.
   Josephine was a lifetime Manteca resident. She worked for Eckert Co. Storage and went on to retire from Tri Valley. She would later work for the Manteca Unified School District as a bilingual interpreter, as well as helping family and friends translate Spanish to English. Josephine was a faithful Catholic and a member of St. Anthony’s Church. She loved her family and loved bringing a smile to everyone’s face. She was proud of her grandchildren and loved family gatherings. Josephine will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-great-great grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
   P.L. Fry and Son is honored to serve the Ochoa family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28,  2020 from 3p.m. to 6p.m. followed by a rosary immediately at 6p.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 11a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street, Manteca, CA.
