Josephine “Peenie” Gould passed away on September 11th, 2014.  Daughter of John Catalano and Jennie Crivello, Josie was born in Manteca, CA 76 years ago on October 19th, 1937.  She was a proud member of Manteca High School Class of ‘55 and was very active in class reunions for many years.  While attending the University of the Pacific she met the love of her life Norman Gould, and they were later married in 1961. They had two sons, John and Mark, and lived out the remainder of their lives in Manteca.
Norman and Josie owned and operated Gould Tax and Business Services for 50 years before passing the baton to their son John. She was very active in the community co-hosting Women’s Aglow meetings at the old Peitro’s Pizza location, she was also a booking agent for the musician Ron Guterez ,  active in the Local Explorers Bible Study, and  a member of the Happy Wheelers  club. 
Josie was blessed with seven grandchildren from her sons and they were her pride and joy.
   She now rests in peace with her loving husband beside her. There will be an open to the public memorial service on Sunday, September 28th at 1p.m. at The Place of Refuge church in Manteca, CA.
