Josephine Rascon Corrales passed peacefully from this world on Thursday, March 31, 2011 surrounded by loving family. She was born April 21, 1924 in Jackson, California, one of eight children to Gabriel and Victoria Rascon. Early years were spent in the fields picking seasonal crops with her family. She was sole supporter of her children. Employment included Bon Bon Candies & Del-Monte Cannery. Later in life she was a greeter at the Manteca Wal Mart until retirement at the age of 79.

She is survived by her three children; Margaret, Julian and Lucille and three subsequent generations of adoring grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joaquin, daughter Norma and sons, George and Ray.

Her courage, determination, love, wisdom and spunk were an example to our family and will live on through us.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation and service on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lima-Campagna-Alameda Mission Chapel, 600 S. Second St., San Jose, CA.

Burial will be at Tracy Public Cemetery, 600 E. Schulte Road, Tracy, CA 95378 on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.
