Juanita Garibay BW

Juanita Garibay came to the end of her life’s journey on October 3rd, 2014. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Art Garibay and son Arthur. She is survived by her life’s work and her loving family; daughter, Gloria Quesada, Manteca. son, Maurice Garibay, Hayward, daughter Mona Garibay (Ellen Padilla), Hayward, daughter Arlene Cuddy-Garibay (Steve Cuddy) Manteca,  son Victor Garibay (Becky) Manteca, thirteen (13) grandchildren, ten (10) great-grandchildren, as well as the extended Villa, Garibay, and Perez families.
Born Juanita Villa, in Porterville, CA. she was raised in Oakley. Juanita and Art married in Reno, August 11th 1951. They raised their family in Fremont, Hayward, and briefly in Tennessee, before moving to Manteca in 1993.
She loved to work and always gave 100%. One of her favorite work accomplishments occurred during an employee’s meeting at Apple where she asked Steve Jobs to donate a computer to all new hires, which he did. For the past 15 years she was dedicated to and enjoyed being “the sample lady” at Costco where she loved interacting with co-workers and the many customers who knew her.
Her home was the center of all family activities.     holidays, birthdays, Giants and 49er games, BBQ’s and cocktail hours. All accented by lots of laughter. The grandkids all learned to swim in her pool. Blessed with an amazing green thumb, the yard was full of the plants she nurtured.
Never one to be left behind, her purse was always by the door ready to go on short notice; In the early days it was going out with Art, more recently to the casino with her daughters.
Although she will be greatly missed, the family takes comfort in the knowledge that she is finally at peace and reunited with her true love Art and 1st born son Arthur.
