Julian King went home to be with the Lord on March 15, 2012. He was born on September 3, 1934 in Nashville, Tennessee. He earned degrees from Middle Tennessee State University, George

Peabody College of Teachers, Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and University of La Verne. He was a missionary to Brazil and later was an administrator and teacher at various Christian schools in California. He retired from teaching in 2002 from New Haven Elementary School, Manteca. He was much loved and will be missed.

He is survived by his wife Janice, his sons; Jeff and wife Sandra, Jonathan, and Jason and wife Melissa. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Dylan, Greg, Julianna, Megan, Kaitlyn, Michael, and Joshua. His mother-in-law Helen Hixon, brother-in-law and wife Norm and Beverly Hixon and many nieces, nephews, and their children.

Services were held at Orangeburg Avenue Baptist Church.
