Julianne McGeary Azevedo, 78 passed away on September 6, 2015 in Manteca, CA.  She was the widow of George Azevedo, Sr.  They shared 46 years of marriage together.  She was born in Palo Alto, CA, August 12, 1937, the daughter of Julia Lewis and Reed McGeary. George and Julie owned a State Farm agency in Manteca, CA for 36 years and she was an active member of Soroptomist International of Manteca for 32 Years. Julie is survived by her sons, Mark Azevedo, Holly of Twain Harte, CA; Reed Azevedo, Sue of Manteca, CA.  Her daughter, Lori Azevedo Peterson, Jonathan of Austin, TX;  stepson George Azevedo Jr., Janet of Stockton, CA and stepdaughter Kathlene Riley of Manteca, CA.   She had 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two greatgreat-grandchildren, sister-in-law Marie Cotta, Joe of Lodi, CA, nieces and nephews. Dear friend Samuel Van Unen of Manteca, CA. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 46 years, George Azevedo, Sr., son Jeffrey Azevedo, and daughter Karen Azevedo. Her parents Julia Lewis and Reed McGeary, sisters Ruth Gruzdis, and Genevieve O’Keefe. Visitation will be held at P.L. Fry’s, 290 N Union Rd., Manteca, CA on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 1-5 p.m.Services will be held at P.L. Fry’s, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 10 a.m..She will be laid to rest at Patterson Cemetery, 10800 HWY 33, Patterson, CA.
