Julio Lara was born in Honalulu, Hawaii, on April 30,1927 and passed away at the age of 82 on Tuesday, March 9. He was a resident of Manteca for 23 years. He is survived by his loving wife Levia Lara of 60 years. Survived by his brothers Tom and Lawrence, and preceded in death by his brothers Joe and Frank. Julio was a loving father of Diane, Marie, Edith and son-in-law Robert; grandfather to Tanya, Jacob, Robert, Andrea, Michael and grandson-in-law Raul; and great-grandfather to Maximillio and Anthony.

Julio is a Veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Air Corps. He loved his wife, family, fishing, sports, the 49ers and watching his great-grandson play football. Julio had a very big impact on everyone that knew him. He was a very caring and generous man. He entertained people with stories of his experiences in life. He was a joy to be around and a very inteligent man. He was an amazing strength and is now resting in peace. We love you Nono and you will be forever and dearly missed!

Burial will be at Sebastopol Memorial Lawn in Sebastropol.
