Jurdon “Wayne” Camper, age 71, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Stockton.  He was born on April 22, 1940 in French Camp to the late Clyde and Mattie Camper.  He was also preceded in death by two sons, William H. Reynolds and Kenneth L. Reynolds, four sisters and two brothers.  He was a resident of Manteca for 40 years and a prior resident of Fargo, North Dakota for 25 years.

He is survived by his children, Thomas Wayne Camper of Manteca, Rebecca L. Patterson of Stockton, Rose D. Nunley of Manteca, Boyd A. Camper of Lathrop, and Clyde Jim Camper of Sacramento.  He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  Wayne also leaves behind two siblings, Jimmy Dale Camper of Manteca and Iris J. De La Rosa of South Dakota.

Wayne was a veteran of the United States Army.  He worked as a self-employed commercial painter for over 40 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and inventing various things.

Services for Mr. Jurdon “Wayne” Camper are under the direction of PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca.  A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at East Union Cemetery, 1035 N.
