Karen Renee Tice-Schmidt, a.k.a. Karen Sheppard, died at the age of 59 of natural causes at home in Carrollton, Texas, where her job transferred her two years ago.
   Karen was born in Alameda, California to Cecilia L.G. Sheppard and Arthur A. Campanile on September 25, 1957.  She went to school at St. Bede’s Catholic School, Hayward, CA and Mission San Jose High School, Fremont, CA.  She graduated from San Jose State University as a Computer Programmer.
   She is survived by daughters Katrina Neilani Tice and Rachelle Leinani Schmidt; mother Cecilia Sheppard; siblings Laureen Mesa and Kenneth Campanile; niece Sirena Mesa; nephews Derek and Daniel Campanile.
Karen is preceded in death by father Arthur Campanile and stepfather William Sheppard.
   Funeral services will be held a 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 E. North St., Manteca, CA with Fr. Chad Wahl officiating.  Burial will be at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward, CA.
