Kawika D. Tavares, 41, entered into rest on November 3, 2021 in Manteca, CA. He was born in Livermore, CA, on May 25, 1980.
He is survived by his children, Leinani and Iokua "little boy" Tavares his parents, Wayne and Christy Tavares, brother, Iokepa Tavares (Jessica), and nephews, Tyson and Carter, aunts and uncles, Daniel Palmer (Kathy), Darlene Dutton (Ron), Lori Tavares and Larry Tavares (Betty), cousins, Wesley (Yen), Ryan, Jack (Jeanea), Lindsay, Lani, Ashley, Shelby, Keanu and Ryleigh. and the rest of his O'Hana
Kawika grew up in Manteca and graduated from East Union High School in 1999. He made his career as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a member of the Operating Engineers-Local 3. He enjoyed golfing and fishing and was a member of the Delta Bass Hunters Club. Kawika’s pride and joy were his two children, they were his world his love for them was above all. Kawika will be remembered for his free spirit, his always happy character and his infectious smile. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
