Kelly Tolbert “Virgil”, 67, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in Manteca. He was born on Sept. 28, 1942 in Stockton. He lived in Manteca for 11 years, prior Stockton for 30 years, and prior Tracy for 26 years.

He is survived by his wife, Kymm Tolbert of Stockton; children, Julie Tolbert and Shelly Tolbert of Manteca; siblings, Chico Tolbert of Manteca and Jim Morgan of Reno, Nevada; grandchildren, Gary Tuggle, Cassie Byrne, Corteney Tuggle and Bradley Sandahl and great-grandchild, Hayden Byrne. He was preceded in death by his parents Sarah Morgan and Jessie Tolbert, and step-father James Morgan, and brothers, Pete Tolbert and Butch Tolbert.

Kelly was the owner operator of Tolbert Insurance Agency in Manteca, Tracy, Ceres, Fairfield, Jackson and Stockton. He retired in 2008 after being in business for over 25 years. He formerly worked as a car salesman at Wilkenson V.W. in Manteca and he enjoyed many other occupations during his lifetime. He graduated from Tracy High School in 1960. Kelly loved his cats “Budweiser” and “Squeek.” For the past 10 years he enjoyed going on sightseeing trips on his motorcycle.

Arrangements are under the direction of P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. An online guest book is available at www.plfryandson.com. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, May 27, at 11 a.m. at P.L. Fry & Son. Final resting place will be private.
