Kenneth Byron Guy 60, entered into rest on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010 in Modesto.  He was born on January 29, 1950 in Oakdale, CA, to the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Arlene Guy.

He was preceded in death by his son Randy Blaine Guy, his sister Carol Arlene Guy, and his brother Randy Blair Guy.  Ken leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Alice Guy of Ripon.  His children are Kenneth Byron Guy II of Ripon, Melanie Ann Rines of Ripon, and Marc Arthur Guy of Ripon.    

Ken was blessed to have 7 grandchildren; Staci . Schinault, Ashley, Dalton, and Caleb Guy, Halie, Logan and Cailin Rines.  He also leaves behind his first great-granddaughter, Addilynn Schinault. He is also survived by his John Thomas Guy, Jr. of Ripon, and sister Merrilee Gale of Arizona.

Ken has been a resident in Ripon for 35 years.  He worked for Dana Corporation of Manteca and Iris in Stockton as a purchasing manager.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed scuba diving as well as bowling.  Ken had a passion for restoring old cars and he enjoyed going to car shows with his wife Alice, and their many friends.  As Ken’s family grew he and Alice enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren.  He loved each and every one of them.  Their time together was very special to him.  

In his retirement he spent many wonderful days with family and friends.  He dedicated every Thursday night to gather with his many friends at his brother’s home, Tom and Arlene Guy.  Ken was blessed with many close family and friends. He always took the time to visit with them.  We will remember him as a loving family man and friend, who will be greatly missed.

Services for Ken are under the direction of P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 209 North Union Road, Manteca. A visitation is scheduled today, Tuesday, Nov. 2, from 1 to 5 p.m. Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 3, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6060 Northland Ave., Manteca at 11 a.m. Final resting place will be Ripon Cemetery, 320 N.
