Mr. Kenneth Ronald Benson, Jr., age 57, of Valley Springs, CA, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020. He was born on August 7, 1962, the second child born to Kenneth Ronald, Sr. and Patricia Benson.
Kenneth was born and raised in San Diego, CA. He meet and married his wife of 36 years Christine Benson. Together they raised their three children. Kenneth was a devoted family man. He dedicated his life to supporting and nurturing not only his wife and children but also everyone around him. His greatest joys were the success of his children and the recent arrival of his first grandchild, James. He was forever respected by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Through the years Kenneth built his career in the construction, mining and asphalt business. This career took him from San Diego to Northern California. Kenneth ended his career with George Reed Inc.
Kenneth was an athlete, when not working or spending time with his family, he enjoyed running, swimming and biking. He was a multiple time marathon finisher, triathlete, and all-
around active man.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Christine, his three children, Krystle and Vinnie DeRocco, Casey Benson, and Derek Benson, as well as his grandson James DeRocco. He leaves his parents, Kenneth Sr. and Patricia Benson, his siblings, Anthony and Judy Benson,
Diane Benson, and Kevin and Trish Benson. Kenneth touched the lives of many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kenneth is predeceased by his sister Donna Murphy.
A memorial service will be held in his honor in the future, but for now keep his family in all of your thoughts and prayers.
