Kevin Mark Hurd passed at the age of 42, on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.
   He was born to Randy Hurd and Rita Batterson Dingle on February 23, 1972, at San Leandro Memorial Hospital, in San Leandro, CA.
Kevin attended Logan High School in Union City and  then El Rancho High School in Hayward. He was actively involved in sports, but mainly baseball. All baseball related conversations ended with, “I was the best, and I always knocked them out of the park!”
   Kevin was a fun spirited person who had a love for motorcycles and cars. Anytime he got together with his friends and family, you could guarantee a night of laughter. He was very family oriented and loved all of his family dearly. His smile lit up the room.
   He attended Crossroads Grace Community Church in Manteca, CA. He was a born again Christian and accepted Jesus Christ into his life four months ago.
   Kevin leaves behind his nine children (from oldest to youngest): Kevin Jr. 24, Lorena 19, Christina 17, Nolan 14, Dyanna 13, Ashlee 11, Josiah 8, Alex 4 and Lilyana 2. He recently became a grandpa to one granddaughter, Rose 2 weeks old, and one grandson Andrew ,who is on the way.
   He also leaves behind his mother and father, brother and sisters, and all of his family and friends, but is joined in heaven by his stepfather Bill Batterson, aunt Judy Jackson, and grandma Mary Batterson.
   P.L. Fry is honored to serve Kevin’s family. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 11 a.m., at P.L. Fry. He will be laid to rest at Park View Cemetery, 3661 East French Camp Road, French Camp.
