November 24, 1973-July 10, 2018
Laura Batres

Laura Michelle McQueary Batres, born November 24, 1973, passed away at 2:43 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Manteca Kaiser Hospital while surrounded by her family.

Michelle always put her loved ones before herself, and faced all her challenges with hope and determination while always keeping a smile on her face.  She was a devoted wife, the best and most loving mother and caring daughter, a playful aunt, loving niece and amazing friend.

Michelle loved her home, her garden, animal, horses, and Justin Timberlake.  She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, friends and family, and also enjoyed backyard barbecues.  She was especially proud of her daughter Justine for serving in the US Navy on the aircraft carrier, Harry S. Truman, and her son, Landon, for his future plans on attending Recording School in Los Angeles, CA.

Her bubbling, caring and giving personality was contagious to all.  Her smile will live on as her soul is now at peace with the angels.  She will be missed, and is loved dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Scott, their two children, Justine and Landon, her mother and stepfather, Ann and Michael Barkley, her father and stepmother, Alan and Pat McQueary, her  in-laws, Sam and Judy Batres, sister and brother-in-law, Angie and Ellis Archerda, and nieces, Katie and Lily, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the McQueary-Batres family.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at P.L Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca.

A reception will immediately follow at the Manteca Moose Lodge, 1815 N. Main St., Manteca. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, www.bcrf.org, to help fight this terrible disease. An online guest book is available for condolences at www.plfryandson.com.
