Lawrence “Larry” Petrey, 63, passed away on Thursday April 8, in Stockton, Ca. He was born August 11, 1946 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Petrey.

 Larry is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Janice Petrey of Manteca; his children are; Steven Petrey of Arkansas and April Kotecki and husband Randy of Stockton. He was blessed by 3 grandchildren; Katie Todd of Utah, Kristin Petrey of Tracy, and Nicole Kotecki of Stockton and one great grandchild Cole Todd of Utah. His siblings are Tom Petree of Michigan, Maxine Hill of Illinois, Ida Petrey of Michigan and Clarence Petrey JR. of Michigan.

 Larry was a resident of Manteca for over 29 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1963 – 1967.  He enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes and taking trips to local casinos. Larry was a natural handy-man always fixing things for family and friends. He enjoyed date nights with his wife, going to the latest flick at the local movie theater. Larry loved his family unconditionally. He was extremely close to his son-in-law Randy and his granddaughters were the apple of his eye. Larry will be remembered as an incredible husband who was fully devoted to his family.

 Mr. Petrey’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 13, 2010 from 1 to 5 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday April 14, 2010 at 1 p.m. also held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery.
