Lawrence McAllister “Larry”, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in Manteca. He was born on September 10, 1941 in San Diego. In heaven he joins his parents, Dorothy and Wyatt Franklin McAllister, as well two as siblings, Doug and Richard McAllister.
   Larry leaves behind his loving wife of 41 ½ years, JoAnn McAllister of Manteca; their children, Gregory Thomas Jacobs (Lisa) of Murrieta; Julie Ann Thomas (Joe) of Manteca and Franklin Vincent McAllister of Manteca. Larry was blessed with seven grandchildren, Jessica Nicole Thomé (Austin), Janette Danielle Thomas, James Everett Thomas, Joseph Don Thomas, Tyler Thomas Jacobs, Lexi Jacobs and Wyatte McAllister. In addition, Larry leaves two siblings; Carol Woodward and Dan McAllister.
   Larry was a long time Manteca resident. He retired from Western Area Power Administration after 30 years. He served his country proudly through the United States Navy. Throughout his life, Larry enjoyed the outdoors- fishing, hunting or simply admiring nature. He was a talented craftsman and it showed in all of his woodwork. He enjoyed a good country song and spending time with his family. He had an immense love for God and it showed in his way of life. He will be remembered as a loving husband, amazing father, wonderful father-in-law, and special grandfather. He will be deeply missed.
