Always put familys needs first

Leon Farmer, 73, entered into rest October 30, 2010 in Manteca, just 7 days after his 73rd birthday. He was born on October 23,   1937 in Burrell, California.

In heaven he joins his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Thelma Farmer as well as Pa and Ma Mc Cleary and his brother Ronald Eugene Farmer.

Leon leaves behind his loving wife, Clara Marie; they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past May 30. He leaves behind his one and only child daughter Suzi Hunter and husband Tedd of Ripon. He was blessed with 3 precious granddaughters; Tristan, Tessa and Tiffani. He was a brother to Alton Farmer and wife Patsy of Oregon, Deborah Hubach and husband Charles of Merced, Betty Jo Snow of Oregon. In addition Leon had 4 sisters-in-law; Mary Mc Cleary, Josephine Goodin, Velma Mc Cleary and Wilma Farmer. Leon leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved their uncle dearly and with him enjoyed boating and skiing, camping, go-carting and car races and softball.

Leon was selfless always putting his family’s needs first. He enjoyed the company of his puppy Casey and his kitty Miss Prissy. Leon found himself at peace these last few years in visiting with his sister Deborah and family and taking long drives in the country.  He was a quiet and reserved man, but very respectful. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Leon became a good friend with all the doctors, nurses and staff who were there to care for him, he was always happy to know that they would all welcome him with a warm smile.

The family of Mr. Farmer would like to acknowledge the care and respect that was given to him by Dr. Carter and staff, Dr. Tran and staff, Dr. Emani and staff, Dr. Davis and staff, Dr. Charles Johnson and staff and everyone at Doctors Hospital of Manteca.

Services for Mr. Farmer are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca, 290 North Union Road. He will be laid to rest privately next to Pa and Ma Mc Cleary in Arkansas. For condolences to the family please go to www.plfryandson.com and search obituaries.
