Leona Brown Pogue went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2011, at the age of 97 years old. She was born in Missouri on April 19, 1913. In 1948 she moved to Manteca. She worked at Manteca Cannery, Manteca Hospital and Palm Haven Rest Home.
She is survived by her son, John J. Pogue of Stockton, five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
She ws preceded in death by her husband, John O. Pogue of 67 years, daughters, Betty Joan McNeil and Phyllis Deloris Hutchings, son, Roy Francis Pogue, and three grandchildren.
Leona loved to knit, visit with family and friends, camping, and fishing during the summer. She loved to travel, loved to watch basketball and mostly loved baseball.
Visitation and services will be at Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Rd, Manteca on Friday, April 22, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with services starting at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Park View Cemetery.
