Leona Rapier, 70, entered into rest in March 2014. She was born March 15, 1944, in Delano, Ca. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Leandro, and parents, Ira and Florene Rapier. She is survived by her sister Violet Lewis of Sacramento, Ca.
Her children are Steven and Anthony Leandro, and Daphne Lopes, all of Manteca. She was blessed with nine grandchildren: Sabrina, Dominique, and Mark Graham, all of Manteca; Hunter, Dakota, Cheyenne, and Ema Leandro, all of Manteca; Christian Thomas Leandro of Norfolk, Va; and Contessa Hall of Shreveprot, La.; and great-granddaughters; Evalyn Wolfe, and Bailey Chambers (arriving soon), both of Manteca.
Leona loved and cherished each and every member of her family with all her heart. She was raised in Casa Grande, Az. Her face would light up with joy when she would speak about her childhood there, how much she enjoyed the sunsets, and all the different kinds of cactus that grew there.
Leona will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and sister in Christ. She will be deeply missed.
