Leonard “Sonny” Santos entered into rest on May 11, 2011 in Stockton, California. He was born on May 13, 1934 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Antonio and Custodia Santos. He was 76 years old.

Mr. Santos is survived by his one and only love, his wife, Martha Santos, married 39 years. Sunny was a retired truck driver retiring after 29 years of service. Before entering into the work force Sunny proudly fought for his country through the United States Army. After the military, Sunny played professional football for the Green Bay Packers for one year. Sunny was quite the athlete playing, not only playing football but also playing professional baseball. During his baseball career he played for the Albuquerque Dukes, San Leandro Merchants, Oakland Oaks, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. He also took up the sport of boxing. Some of his sparing opponents were Eddie Machen and Johnny Gonzalez. Sonny loved relaxing outdoors; fishing and camping were some of his favorite pastimes. horse racing was his number one spectator sport; he loved the game of betting, the challenge of the race and socializing with friends.

Sonny was extremely outspoken with a great personality. He was good-natured, always willing to help others in time of need. Sonny will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
