Leslie Reile, age 88, entered into rest on October 31, 2013, in Modesto. He was born on June 18, 1925, in Jamestown, ND, to the late Fred and Caroline Hauff Reile. Leslie is also preceded in death by his wife, Giesela. He was a resident of Ceres, and previously of Stockton. He is survived by his nieces, Sandra, Cheree, Misty and Gabriella all of Ceres.
   Leslie’s family moved to California in 1937 and he graduated from Escalon High School. He enlisted in the United States Army on January 28, 1946 and served for 20 years. Les did drafting and taught drafting in the service. He flew with reconnaissance planes during the war to help spot anything out of the ordinary. Memorizing came easy for him and he knew the drafting book by heart. Les was fluent in German and while stationed there, he met and married Geisela Dingler on July 20, 1966 in Schwetwinger, Germany. After they returned to the United States, Geisela encouraged Leslie to continue his education. He enrolled in the University of Maryland. He worked days and at night took classes and studied. Leslie graduated with a degree in Business and a minor in Psychology.
 Leslie will be remembered as a kind and generous man. He was also a Christian who loved the Lord and showed Christ-like qualities. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
   PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca, is honored to be serving the Reile family. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013, 12p.m. to 5p.m, at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home. Final resting place will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella, CA.
