Lillie Edna Brock of Manteca was born on July 4, 1927 in Oklahoma to Roy and Vernia Deatherage. She passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her family on April 23, 2012. She was the oldest of six children.

She was preceded in passing by her husband of 38 years, Les Brock, her parents, and three of her sisters, Almeda Recanati, Lottie Walton, and Esther Deatherage. She is survived by two of her sisters, Louise Cargill and Cynthia Tidmore, and her eight children Vernia Altheide, Colleen Bulmer, Lester Brock and wife Dorothy, Gene Brock and wife Hilda, Dale Brock and wife Renee, Rita Hicks and husband Mike, Edna Morris and husband Jim, and Robert Brock and wife Rikki, all of CA. She was not only a mother to her children, but a beloved friend. Lovingly known as "Granny," she will be dearly missed by her legacy of 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Granny will be remembered as a loving, giving person who gave her life to her family. Her family was of the utmost importance to her, and her Saturday night family gatherings were cherished times. She will always be remembered for her delicious home-cooking and yummy pies. Holiday baking was her passion. She and her husband treasured the times they spent traveling with their children across the United States. She loved to crochet and enjoyed playing Rummy with her family. She also enjoyed watching the hummingbirds outside of her kitchen window and loved to collect hummingbird keepsakes. Granny cared deeply for each of her family and friends and would always part with these words "Love you, be careful out there," and "Take your time leaving, but hurry back!" Not only was she loved by her family, but by everyone who ever met her. She had a heart of gold that she shared with everyone.

She will be placed to rest with her late husband at Parkview Cemetery. A private service will be held for the family. Donations in Lillie's memory can be made to St. Theresa's Cancer Center, 4722 Quail Lakes Dr., # B, Stockton, CA 95207.
