Lloyd Joseph Martinez of Manteca passed away April 25, 2010 in Modesto, CA. He was born December 1, 1928 in Loveland, Colorado to the late Jacobo and Leontina Martinez.

He was employed at Center Plumbing for 40 years as a sheet metal worker before retiring in 1991. He was an avid bowman, fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed watching the Forty-niners and S.F. Giants on TV He enjoyed his gambling trips to Nevada with his brother. In his leisure time he enjoyed collecting coins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Margaret “Maggie” Martinez of Manteca. Daughters Cathy and Tina; granddaughter Cynthia; brothers Max, David and Anthony (Pat) Martinez; sisters Dora Pena, Genevive Franco, Flora Poe and the late Caroline Tedesco; sister in laws Josie Flores, the late Rosie Lucero, Lupe Guiterrez and Jennie Marquez; brother in laws Milo Marquez, Rene Lucero and the late Paul Flores Sr. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service held at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church, 1663 E. Main Street, Stockton, on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 6 p.m. Online condolence at www.neptune-society.com
