Lois Jean Ryan was born April 18, 1929, in Bellflower, California. She grew up an avid tennis player, and was an incredibly gifted pianist and organ player.
She met the love of her life, Winfield “Scott” Ryan, and got married on June 13, 1947 at the First Baptist Church in Bellflower. They had three children together, Vickie, Jeff, and Kristine. Lois was a constant supporter of her husband and family and dedicated her life as an educator and pastor’s wife. She touched countless lives of children, teaching them to read, write, and play piano in fun and interactive ways. Her quick wit and elaborative story telling always made for grand adventures. She loved being around or hearing about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with all of their accomplishments. She lived an incredible life of 91 years, with her secret to longevity being a glass of milk and cookies each day. She will be incredibly missed by her family, but she is now reunited with her husband Scott in God’s glorious kingdom.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Winfield “Scott” Ryan, brothers, Everett Perkins and John Perkins, sister, Ruby Jones, and great-granddaughter, Shiloh Ryan.
She is survived by her sister, Minnie Remley, her three children, Vickie, Jeff, and Kristine, and many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
