Lois K. Alldrin was born on October 12, 1923 in Mississippi.  She had four brothers and graduated from Kerman High School in 1940.  She married Wally Alldrin in 1942 and they settled in Ripon, CA where she was still living in the home they built when they were first married.
Lois was very active in the community.  One of her activities was her involvement in the Ripon Almond Blossom Festival.  She was the “Queen Bee” for several years overseeing the Almond Blossom Queen contest.  She also was the Sunday School secretary for Bethany Covenant Church.
Lois loved tennis and played often with her friends for many years.   Lois was also very active in the Ripon Senior Center.  She taught, poured, painted and fired ceramics for over 25 years.  She started oil painting at the age of 60 and continued her weekly classes until she had taken ill just a few weeks ago.
Lois always loved her family gatherings during the holidays, birthdays and sometimes “just because”.  You never entered her house without her offering a good strong cup of coffee and a homemade cookie.
Lois is survived by a brother, David Price, two children, Linda Weststeyn and Galen Alldrin, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deegan Funeral Chapels is honored to serve the Alldrin family.  A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, September 14th, at 10:00 a.m. at Ripon Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ripon Senior Center; 433 S. Wilma Ave, Ripon, CA, 95366 or Community Hospice; 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA, 95356 or www.hospiceheart.com
