Lonnie Fowler, 91, entered into rest on Nov. 28, 2010 in Manteca. He was born on August 24, 1919 in Hughes, Oklahoma, to the late Andrew and Malisie Fowler. He was preceded in death by his 3 sons.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 33 years, Dorothy Fowler, of Manteca. His children are Leon Fowler of Oregon, Terry Fowler of Colorado, Mark Fowler of Oregon, Dee Baughman of Visalia, Dick Baughman of Washington, Sally Rice of Stockton, Rob Baughman of Colorado and Mark Fowler of Manteca. Lonnie was blessed to have many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even one great-great-grandchild.

 Lonnie was a loving and caring man. He loved his family dearly and all of his many friends. During Lonnie’s life he touched many hearts and gave his time here on earth a purpose. His wife was his best friend and confidant. Lonnie enjoyed fishing with his friends and spending warm afternoons out at the river with his wife. Lonnie will be remembered for his undying passion to help others, his generosity and his heart of gold.  

 Mr. Fowler’s services are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home 290 North Union Road, Manteca. Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service in his honor at 11 a.m. in the P.L. Fry and Son Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Tracy Public Cemetery on the corner of MacArthur and Schulte Road with full military honors.
