Loretta L. Seegers, 73, of Manteca, CA, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 surrounded by her family and friends. Loretta was born in Arizona on February 26, 1936 to Winnie and Richard Hawkins.

In 1953, Loretta married her best friend, Donald Seegers, and they spent most of their 52 married years in French Camp where they raised their children. Loretta was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked for Diamond Walnut and as a State Ag Inspector. Both Loretta and Don were 4-H leaders with the French Camp 4-H club.
In 1995, they retired to Big Timber, Montana, where they lived until Don’s death in 2006.

Following Don’s death, Loretta moved back to Manteca to be closer to family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing bingo and going shopping. She is survived by her mother, Winnie Hawkins, 96, of Stockton, son Richard (Sondra) Seegers of Manteca; daughter Debbie (Gary) Rapaport, of Helena, MT, four grandchildren, Maegan and Lauren Seegers of Manteca and Jason and Brian Rapaport of Helena, MT; brothers Doyle (Ruth) Hawkins of Stockton and Coy (Nona) Hawkins of Winnemucca, NV; sister-in-law Harlene (Warren) Walker of Modesto, numerous nieces, nephews and friends, and her little dog, Amber.
