Loretta Machado, 70, entered into rest on Saturday, January 24, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hughson, California to the late John and Adelaide Silva.
    She leaves behind her husband Richard Machado Sr. of Manteca, sons Richard Jr. Machado of Ripon, Robert J. Machado and wife Eleni of Ripon, and Raymond Machado of Manteca. Loretta was blessed with seven grandchildren: Richard Machado III and wife Jenna, Ryan Machado, Randy Machado, Riley Machado, Justine Van Spronsen and husband James, Robert Machado Jr. and Bradley  Machado. In addition she has two great grandchildren, Kylee and Jacob Machado. Loretta has four surviving siblings, Patricia Ferbrache and husband Ray, Phil Silva and wife Despina, Bill Silva and wife Gloria and Debbie Wenger and husband Paul.
    Loretta was a Manteca resident for over 50 years. She retired from Bank of America as a Financial Consultant, where she made countless friends and acquaintances. She was a longtime member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Loretta was a past President, Secretary and Treasurer for the M.R.P.S. and member of the Portuguese Fraternal  Society of America.  She enjoyed collecting antiques and had a passion for anything artistic; there wasn’t anything Loretta couldn’t create. She was a talented painter, meticulous with every brush stroke. She loved her family dearly and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye.  Her caring nature never went unnoticed and she had a smile that would light up a room. She will be always remembered for her loving spirt and unconditional love. She will be missed.
    P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Machado family. A Rosary/Mass will be held in her honor on Tuesday, February 3rd at 10:30 am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street, Manteca.
