Louis Aufdermaur, Jr. 90, passed away on January 24, 2021.  Louis was born on March 9, 1930 to Louis and Annie Aufdermaur natives of Switzerland.
Louis was born in Banta and raised on the family dairy in Lathrop.  He bought 3 registered Holsteins in high school to show in FFA and won many championships, judging contests and was awarded the American Farmer Degree- which led to his passion to have a Registered Holstein Dairy.  He graduated from Manteca High School in 1949 and was married in 1952 to Doris Betschart.  They had six children who all were involved with the dairy and showing cattle. They moved the dairy to Turlock and had many excellent cows that won many awards for milk quality and quantity which led him to being named the CA Holstein Association Senior Breeder of the year!  His signature loud laugh will be missed by all. He sang in the Swiss echoes, played Jass and went to Swiss events.  Louis and Rose Jaurequito were happily together for over 15 years and enjoyed socializing, church and meeting with family.  He had a great group of friends who met every Friday to eat breakfast, laugh and talk.          He is survived by his children, Frances (Lee) Heidrich, Steve Aufdermaur, Elizabeth Aufdermaur, Dora (Al) Hummell, and Christine(Mike) Kinsley. 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grand children.  He was preceded in death by Doris Betschart Aufdermaur (1997), daughter Caroyn Cook (1997) and sister Alice Hafer (2020).
