Dawson 001 BW

Louis Richard Dawson, 83, entered into rest surrounded by his loving family at his home in Fremont on Saturday, May 30, 2015. He was born March 11, 1932 in Huntington Park, CA to the late Arnold and Laurine Dawson. In heaven he joins 11 of his sibling as well as his loving daughter Christine Anna Amen.
Louis leaves behind his adored wife of 65 years, three months and 18 days, Lillian Giovacchini, his children, Kathleen Krueger of Fremont/Manteca, Susan Hobbs of Jackson and Andrew Dawson of Camario.  He was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A Fremont resident for 57 years, to Louis, Manteca was always home. He worked as a sheet metal fabricator for G.T.E. and then eventually retired. Growing up in Manteca, Louis met the love of his life and together they raised their family. Louis was brought up Catholic and held a special place in his heart for St. Mother Cabrini. He was an honest man and loved his family dearly. Louis had a heart of gold, never judgmental and gave to all he found in need. Sincere and innocent, he loved to bring a smile to his children with his childlike spirit. Louis was a devoted husband an exceptional father and special grandfather. He led his life like a true Shepard of God.  He will be remembered and be missed immensely.
