Lucille (Miller) Cunningham, 77, of Manteca, California, passed away on May 9, 2011. She was born on August 10, 1933 in Waldron, Arkansas. The family moved to California where she married and raised her family.

She worked many years as a nurse’s aide, and later in life she worked for Diamond Walnut. She enjoyed working in her flowerbeds, crocheting, sewing, quilting, watching scary movies, and loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Katy Miller; siblings, Lloyd Miller, Loyl Miller, Lois Frazier, and Louise Halford; her husband, James B. Cunningham and longtime companion, Jerry Schaffer.

She is survived by her siblings, Lottie Jean Johnson and Lorene Halford; her children, Lynette Rogers and husband John, Michael Wagner and wife Norma, Jill Maerzluft and husband Willi, Kevin Wagner and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Toni Dunlap, Marci Disch, Matt Wagner, Clint Maerzluft, Amber Luhn, Ryan Wagner, and Kaydee Wagner; and great-grandchildren, Kyle, Alex, and Adam Dunlap, Jordan and Justin Disch.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 13, at 1 p.m. in the Garden of Trees at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, near Beckman Road, Lodi.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Asera Care Hospice, 2529 W. March Lane, Suite 101, Stockton, CA 95207.
