Luis Gabriel Garcia age, 44, of Stockton, California died unexpectedly in his home on December 31, 2017.
   Luis was born on April 2, 1973 in San Jose, California to parents Maria Jesus and Jorge Gomez Garcia. 
   Luis grew up in Manteca. He attended Nile Garden and graduated from Manteca High School in 1991. He started working in construction right out of high school. Over the years he became successful in mastering his craft as a Cement Mason.  He moved to Stockton in his mid 30’s and eventually bought his home. Luis was a single man, who never married or had children, he was a faithful man who put all his trust in the Lord. He loved his mom’s cooking especially her famous flour tortillas. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and the Boston Celtics. He enjoyed watching football and basketball games and UFC fights with his nephew Luis Diego.
   He is survived by his mother, Maria Jesus Garcia of Modesto and Jorge Garcia of Mexico, brother Ruben (Jeff) Casares and children Cassandra and Nano of San Leandro, sister Ines and Martin Lopez and children Maria, Martin, Jesse and Jackie of Fontana, little sister Adriana and Sergio Cerna and children Luis Diego, Julyssa Denise and Jose Jesus of Manteca, niece Jennifer Clarissa and nephew Michael Lorenzo of San Jose, California
   He was preceded in death by brother Lorenzo Casares of San Jose and brother George Garcia of Portland, Oregon.
   Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 2 p.m.-8 p.m. at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., in Stockton, CA. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Apostolic Tabernacle Church, 2222 Lever Blvd., in Stockton, CA. A committal service will follow at Park View Cemetery.
