On December 4, 2020, Manuel Camara passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Manuel was born on October 1, 1930 in California.
   He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Geraldine, and his children, Donna Ross of Manteca, Jo Ann (Eugene) Cook of Manteca and Jim (Ina) Camara of Manteca. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, Kelley (Jeff) Houghton, Ryan Ross, Jeremy Cook, Stephanie Cook, Tiffany Cook, Joshua Cook, Jordan (Miranda) Camara and Katrina (Tee-Jay) McIntyre. He had seven great-grand children he adored as well. He is survived by his three siblings, Mary Erickson, John Camara, and Janet Camara-Rich. He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel Sr. and Clotilda Camera and his siblings, Thomas Camara, Tony Camara, Carl Camara, Joe Camara. Frank Camara, Barbara Jean Martin,
   Manuel worked as a farmer and retired after 30 at Delta Islands. After retirement he then went to work for San Joaquin County as a maintenance man and retired after 10 years of service. In his spare time he loved gardening and would continue to garden from his wheelchair as he grew older. Manuel was baptized and served as a Jehovah Witness for 42 years. Always laughing and with many jokes to tell, Manuel was known for his sense of humor and how he always made life enjoyable. He loved spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Manuel’s smile and zest for life will be missed.
