Manuel’s passion was his family and their well-being. He commuted to San Francisco for 33 years where he worked as a foreman and manager for Avis rent-a-car. For a time, he also owned his own auto repair business in Manteca with his father. He loved to work on home improvement projects and was often found in the garage, woodworking and creating furniture and toys. He loved the outdoors and was fond of hiking, camping and fishing with his family. He loved music and movies. His booming laugh was contagious. He was generous and cared for others. He emphasized education and constant learning throughout life. He was never afraid to try something new or challenge himself. He was loved and will be dearly missed.
