Margaret Ruth Hoffman, 81, died at home on Tuesday, August 12, 2014.  Mrs. Hoffman was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado and was a resident of Manteca for over 70 years. She was a business owner with her husband, Joseph A. “Bud” Hoffman until his death in 1999; after which time she continued running the farm and the business, Hoffman Game Birds.  She was well known representing her business at the San Francisco Ferry Plaza Market until 2006. Ruth and Bud were involved  in 4-H Clubs and Manteca Bowling Leagues for over twenty years. She was a loving wife,

mother and grandmother with four children, nine grandchildren and four greatchildren.

   Ruth is survived by her children; Diana(Mike) Risso, Joe (Joanie) Hoffman, Connie(Gilbert) Walden of Manteca and Sally (Jeff) Hopson of Modesto. Ruth is also survived by her brother Robert Geringer of Manteca.

   She was prededed in death by both her parents, Pete and Mary Geringer, her grandson; Jason Allen Hoffman, son-in-law, Raymond Anthony Leonardo, brother George Geringer and sister Bernice Madden.

   Funeral services will be private. Remembrances can be made to Hospice of  San Joaquin County or the American Cancer Society.
