   Margaret “Toddy” Smith, age 80, entered into rest on May 29, 2014, in Manteca.  She was born on July 6, 1933, in Cascade, Iowa to the late Henry and Margaret Menster.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Fisher, two brothers and two sisters.
   Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, George H. Smith of Manteca; her children, Lynette Defebaugh (Glenn) of Virginia City, NV, Lori Whitney (Mike) of Valley Springs, CA, and Lisa Chism of Livermore, CA; and two stepsons, Mark Smith (Marsha) and Kevin Smith (Kim).  She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Jason Whitney, Cali Van Pelt, Carlyn Whitney, Katie Defebaugh, Jacob Chism, Kenneth Chism and Cori Defebaugh; and step grandchildren, Jay, Sarah, George, Mike,  Courtney, EJ, Katie, and Brendan; and one great granddaughter.  Margaret also leaves behind her brother, Jack Menster of Iowa.
   Margaret was a resident of Manteca for 36 years. She served in the US Navy during the Korean War. She loved to travel. She was a world traveler. Her trips included Hawaii, Europe, Canada, many cruises and traveling across the United States. Toddy was instrumental in starting the Widows Persons Group in Manteca.  She was an active member of St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in Manteca.  Most of all, Toddy loved and cherished her family.
   PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca, is honored to be serving the Smith family.  A service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at
