Margarito “Rito” Avila, 54, passed away January 21, 2012 in Fremont, CA. He was born April 30, 1957 in Hayward, CA.  He was preceded in death by his mother Ernestina Avila, his brothers, John Avila,  Sammy Avila, and Mateo Avila Jr. Rito is survived by his loving wife of over 27 years, Sylvia Avila of Manteca, his children, Adam Rodriguez of

Manteca, and Monica Rose Avila of Manteca,  grandson Adam Rodriguez Jr. of Manteca, and his Father Mateo H. Avila. Rito’s surviving siblings include his sisters, Teresa Clarke of Manteca, Esther Perez of Escalon, Tina Dippel of Modesto, Juana Martinez of Sparks, NV, Josie Pruneda of Tracy, Maggie Morales of Oregon, and his brother Ray Avila of Manteca, and 34 nieces and nephews.

Rito was a courier for Kaiser Permanente in Stockton and surrounding areas. Prior to working at Kaiser Permanente, Rito was employed with Lawrence Livermore Laboratories. He was passionate about reconstructing his truck which was his pride and joy. Rito found himself at peace traveling. He loved the fact that he could just get in his car and go, as his favorite oldie played on the radio. He was a devout Raider fan, and loved watching boxing. He worked out faithfully at In Shape City. His best friend Rosco (his dog) never left his side. Rito was a provider, a hard worker and true family man. He will be remembered for the unconditional love he gave to all. He will be missed dearly.

Arrangements for Mr. Avila are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 26th, 2012 from 1pm-7pm. A rosary will follow at 7pm at P.L. Fry and Son. Mass will be  Friday, January 27th, 2012 at 10:30am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street, Manteca.
