Margie Lou Kestyus
March 12, 1927-January 20, 2015
Margie Lou Kestyus BW

Margie Lou Kestyus, 87, entered into rest on January 20, 2015 in Modesto, California. She was born in Texas on March 12, 1927. In heaven, she joins her husband of 58 years, Louis Kestyus.
Margie is survived by her loving children; Lyndon Kestyus, Kathryn Heninger and John Kestyus. She was blessed by four grandchildren, Adam, Brandon, Jessica, and Steven, and two great-grandchildren Faith and Grace. In addition, Margie is survived by one sister Francis Pettis.
Margie retired from Ballard’s Uniform in Oakland after 10 years of service. She found peace when tending to her fruit and vegetable garden as she enjoyed the simple things in life. She was always devoted to her family as well as extended family where she made quality time for everyone. Her giving spirit never went unnoticed as she gave with no reserve. She loved playing the Lotto; dreaming of hitting “the big one.” Margie was a social butterfly, especially during the holidays as her home was open to family and friends alike. Her cooking was impeccable and she enjoyed her time in the kitchen side by side with her late husband Louis. She was a Bingo extremist as she managed to find a local Bingo club everywhere she traveled and even coordinated Prestige’s Bingo night for a while. Her heart was always full as she never went without saying “a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.” Margie’s zest for life and loving character always left a positive impression to everyone she met. Above all Margie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be deeply missed.
P.L .Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Kestyus family. She will be laid to rest at a later date with her loving husband at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. An online guest book is available for condolences to the family at www.plfryandson.com (search obituaries).
