Maria E. Nowlin, 72, a resident of the Manteca community, died Tuesday evening, September 15, 2015, at Doctor’s Medical Center in Modesto, CA.
   Maria Elena Nowlin was born February 16, 1943 in Cebu City, Philippines, the daughter of the late Isias and Eusebia (Gaudiano) Seno.
   Maria was united in marriage to Dennis Nowlin on September 17, 1968 in the Philippines. Maria and Dennis resided in the communities of Antigo, WI, Mt. Clemons, MI, Westland, MI, Cotati, CA and Citrus Heights, CA prior to settling in Manteca, CA in 1986.  Maria was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Among her special interests, Maria enjoyed gardening, home decorating and spending time with her family. Maria was a very compassionate and caring person who was always willing to help. She will be dearly missed.
   Maria was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elizabeth Seno.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Nowlin of Manteca, CA; her daughters, Ann (Todd) Hurley of San Francisco, CA and Mary Ann (Jose) Salubon of Manila, Philippines; her siblings, Jesus Seno, Eulalia Macacero and Sencera Seno.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Emma, Jake, Jefferson, Jonathan and Janine; her great grandchildren, Maja and Autumn.
  The Rosary will be held for her on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, 6 p.m. at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 S. Palm Avenue, Ripon, CA. A visitation will precede the Rosary starting at 5 p.m.
   A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015, 10 a.m.
at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 19399 Highway 120, Ripon, CA. Burial Rites and Interment will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
   The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, in her memory.
